The vestry is the legal representative of the parish regarding all corporate property. Members are typically elected at the annual meeting, though numbers and terms vary by parish. The rector presides over the group, which includes a Senior Warden (rector support and transition leader) and a Junior Warden (responsible for buildings and grounds). Officers like the treasurer and clerk are also appointed, though they may not be vestry members.

Meeting quarterly to handle church business, the vestry’s core responsibilities are to:

• Articulate the congregation's mission and support it by word and deed.
• Select the rector.
• Ensure effective organizational planning.
• Manage church resources and finances.
